The Buddha Pāda Center, a spiritual and educational sanctuary, is located in the scenic hills outside of Kalimpong, West Bengal.

It is dedicated to the study, practice, and preservation of the Buddha’s teachings, operating under the auspices of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche and conducting its programs through Siddhartha’s Intent India.

The institute is situated in a lush forest about a 20-minute drive from the Kalimpong town center. The architecture, designed by Japanese architect Yasuda Kenji, creates a serene atmosphere.

Key Facilities include:

  • A central Temple, prayer halls, and teaching halls (including Manjushri Hall, Mahasandhi Zendo, Guru Rinpoche Dojo, and Sutra Dojo).

  • Accommodation facilities offering a variety of rooms (suites, double, and single rooms with attached or common bathrooms).

  • Two dining halls serving healthy, hygienic, vegetarian-only meals (note: not vegan).

  • Workshop spaces, a theater equipped with audio-visual facilities, and plans for an upcoming Japanese tea room, library, and café.

Buddha Pāda focuses on providing a platform for inquiry into Buddhist teachings and practices. Its offerings include:

  • Guided Meditation and Mindfulness Sessions.

  • Buddhist Teachings and Prayer Ceremonies.

  • Workshops and Immersive Programs on Contemplative Arts (like Vedic Chanting and Kathak Dance) and well-being.

  • Residential pairchi mugam (retreat) programs for healing and self-discovery, ranging from weekend stays to month-long intensives.
