From the airport, local auto-rickshaws or pre-booked taxis can take you directly to Katorawa Road in 15–20 minutes.

  • Patna Airport (PAT): Located about 115 km away in the state capital, Patna offers much wider domestic connectivity. From Patna, you can hire an intercity cab or take an express train down to Gaya, which takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.

  • Gaya Junction (GAYA): This is a major railway station well-connected to almost all parts of India, including direct express and Rajdhani trains from New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai.

  • Station to Venue: The junction is roughly 13–15 km from Bodh Gaya. Outside the station, you will find a 24/7 availability of auto-rickshaws (both shared and private) and local cabs that will bring you straight to the meditation center via the Gaya-Bodhgaya Road.

  • Bodh Gaya Bus Stand: Long-distance luxury and state-run buses run regularly from Patna, Nalanda, Varanasi, and Ranchi directly to the main Bodh Gaya bus stand.

  • Local Transit: Once you arrive at the Bodh Gaya bus stand, the is just a short 2–3 km auto-rickshaw ride away.

  • Routes: Bodh Gaya is well-networked by national highways. If driving or booking a cab, the town is accessed via the NH 19 (Grand Trunk Road), turning onto the Gaya-Dobhi Road/NH 22 towards the Magadh University area and then cutting inward to Katorawa Road.

  • Road Conditions: The main highways connecting Patna or Varanasi to Gaya are smooth and wide, though traffic can slow down significantly as you pass through Gaya city proper before reaching the quieter zones of Bodh Gaya.
